Team Bondi, the guys behind the hit L.A. Noire, is set to close its doors according to documents filed with the Australian Securities And Investments Commission.
The forms confirmed that a liquidator has been appointed, who will now handle the sale of Team Bondi’s remaining assets. This move looks to put an end to the long-running saga surrounding the developer’s future.
Earlier this year L.A. Noire released to a wave of critical acclaim, even becoming the fastest selling new IP ever in the UK. Despite the very positive sales figures, the team behind the game came increasingly under pressure after it emerged that their relationship with publisher Rockstar had been ‘badly damaged’ during development of the title.
In August, the majority of Team Bondi’s assets were sold to animation and production company KMM and the firm went into administration on 30th August. |
