Square Enix has shared very little information about Final Fantasy X for the PlayStation 3/Vita. Tetsuya Nomura did provide a new tidbit in the latest Famitsu, however.

According to Nomura, Square Enix’s 1st Production Department group is working on the project. This is the same team behind the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy titles (including Versus XIII).

So, if anything, fans shouldn’t worry too much about the port/remake as it’s in capable hands.
